DRY BRIGHT

Hybridic aliphatic polyurethane water-based varnish used for the protection of microcement coatings on walls or light traffic floors. It provides a “satin” appearance to the surface. It is applied in two layers (the first diluted 1/1 in water). It is also applied in one layer (1/1 in water) prior to the application of two layers of PLANOFINISH PU 2KS, PLANOFINISH PU 2KS MAT or PLANOFINISH PU 2KW MAT aliphatic polyurethane varnishes in order to enhance protection against colour alteration of the coating in areas with heavy use.

• DRY BRIGHT is suitable for:

o concrete and cement mortars

o natural stones, renders and masonry plasters

o microcement screeds of PLANOCOLOR MICROCEMENT system

o porous building materials such as sand stones, bricks

o on mineral surfaces as a primer to prevent discoloration before applying solvent-based polyurethane varnishes

• Form: liquid

• Density: 1,0 ± 0,1 kg/L

• Application temperature: from +10°C up to +30°C

Substate preparation:

The application surface must be clean, free of dust, grease, old coatings, loose elements, solid and dry with a residual moisture limit <4% by weight.

Application:

DRY BRIGHT is applied with roller, spray or brush in two layers. The application surface must be dry, clean, free of dust and in general materials which might compromise adhesion. The first layer is applied diluted with water in a 1: 1 volume ratio. The second layer is followed by drying the first one, after about 1-2 hours, depending on the weather. Spraying is done with suitable equipment 25-30 cm from the surface, making sure the material is absorbed until saturated. On vertical surfaces, it is recommended that the application be done from top to bottom and when applied outdoors no strong winds must be present. Surfaces treated with DRY BRIGHT must be protected for at least 5 hours from rain and high temperatures.

Recommendations:

• Avoid direct exposure to sunlight and/or strong wind and rain

• Do not apply when the substrate & ambient temperatures are lower than +5°C and higher than +35°C

• Do not apply on surfaces with humidity above 4%

• In natural stones it is recommended to perform a trial test before

• Between the two layers is recommended the careful removal any dust

• The application is recommended by a professional user
